Publishing principles
These are the current product principles for the Apping Store prototype, not a complete production legal agreement.
Allowed publishing
- Creators must have the right to distribute the content they publish.
- Projects must not intentionally distribute malware, deceptive downloads or illegal content.
- Metadata must describe the project accurately enough for users to understand what they are opening or downloading.
Project-level moderation
The normal moderation action is taken against the affected project. A project may be unlisted or suspended, and the creator should be told what needs correction where practical.
Creator accounts
Apping Store is designed to avoid permanent creator exclusion as a routine punishment. Account-level restrictions may still be required to protect users, comply with law, respond to compromised accounts, or stop repeated abuse of the service. Such restrictions should be tied to documented reasons and reviewed rather than used as an opaque default.
Future production requirements
Before public launch, these principles should be replaced or supplemented by complete terms covering reporting, appeals, copyright complaints, prohibited content, payments if introduced, liability, jurisdiction and operator contact information.
